REFLECTIVE JOURNAL (UIA 2)

Assalamualaikum peeps! I want to share my experience.  It was a choatic process but I could say, it was perfectly completed. Program Expelliarmus: Be an elite muslim with InteGombak changed its focus from helping the needy to teaching prestigious school about English and finally it shifted to providing motivational program. Personally, at first I thought this program will not have a good outcome but unfortunately, I was wrong. There were so much things to learn and we did it.

One of the most impactful events or activities was during Habluminannas. The content is about our relationship with human. For this activity, the students are open to share their story or problem and we try to solve it together. For me, it was a heartwarming session because some students were crying and the other friends determinedly tried to help and solve the problem. It was a memorable moments for me. Besides, I played a role as public relation and facilitator for this program. Being a public relation committee has taught me to be brave when engaging with peoples. Being a facilitator has taught me to be mature in making decision. The event that suprised me was the warm welcome by the participants and how active they were in engaging with the programs. Also, the committees that previously seem silent but actually good at entertaining the participants.

Some of the impacts or lessons that I learned is to be professional. Be professional on your work. I learned how to differentiate between works and personal matters. Besides, working in a team, I should not only focus on my taks and practice the indifferent attitude. Instead, I should help and care about others if there are in need because that is the objective of groupwork. Furthermore, this program made me realize that this world is not only about us. Everyone has their own story and difficulties. Never compare our story with theirs because it will never be the same. We should put our place in their shoes before suggest opinion or advice because one mistake could lead to undesirable consequences.

To conclude, this program taught me a lot about commitment. Everything that we do has its own commitment and we should realize it. Irrespective of our hectic schedules, once a task is assigned to us, it becomes our duty. Regardless of the challenges, we must efficiently allocate our time and stay dedicated to fulfilling our commitment.
